A referral agent is a real estate professional who connects potential clients with another agent to handle a property transaction. Instead of representing clients directly, they earn a commission or fee by referring clients to other agents who complete the deal.
A referral agent identifies someone looking to buy or sell property and connects them with a suitable real estate agent. Once the transaction closes, the referral agent receives a pre-agreed fee, typically a percentage of the commission earned by the handling agent.
